"On Rappel!"

Today was a big day for the recruits, as they traveled 130 miles from the National Cadet Training Center (NCTC) to the Harold L. Disney National Guard Training Center in Artemus, KY. I had the opportunity to spend the day with them, and observe these highly-motivated future Cadets as they rapelled and worked their way through the obstical course.

They are staying overnight, continuing to rappel and run the "O" course. They will also be on the Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) - which is basically a huge marksmanship videogame system used to train soldiers - throughout the day tomorrow.

They are motivated about the training and excited to graduate soon. Above are a few photos. We have many more, but will have to wait until we return to NCTC to get them uploaded.

Regards,

COL Land
